Lately, I’ve been hard at work on the book I’m writing… and I finally have something to show for it! You can download the first chapter here (318K PDF). If you’d like to take the time to work through it and give me feedback, I would be most grateful — but you should also feel free to just check it out for fun.
I might give that a read during a long work downtime. In the meantime, I just looked at your “About Me” page and discovered what must be an error in your coded email address. You ended it with “wpn” instead of “dpn,” probably from a common slip at the bottom letter row of your Qwerty board.
That was intentional. I quote: “There will still be one incorrect letter but it will be obvious what you should correct it to.”
If you do end up giving it a read, let me know what you think!
Yay Mr Yorgey!
Keep up the good work.
Thanks Annie!
[...] so much for posting once a week! My excuse is that I’ve been hard at work on my book. Well, nothing to do but get right back at it. I promise* I will be better** about posting [...]
Downloaded chapter – really user friendly introduction to Mathematics. I’m trying to teach myself maths and I found the style of your book to be accessible without compromising the important details .
It’s 2009 now – it the full text published? Is it available in e-book format?
oops forgot to check “Notify me of followup comments via e-mail”
Hi Tina, unfortunately, what you see here is all the progress I’ve made to date! I’ve now started grad school which has taken a lot of my time. But I do hope to pick this project back up again at some point.
Thanks for leaving a comment–glad you enjoyed it!
This is pretty good. Easy to follow. I did a course on program specification a few years back. You have no idea how useful this book would have been. Keep up the good work.
